The SDC Colour Experience is an education resource for children and adults hosted on the web and at the SDC's Bradford headquarters - the place to come to find out about the wonderful world of colour!

At its Bradford home, there is a gallery that explores the concept of colour, how it is perceived and how it is used. You can see how the world looks to animals, mix coloured lights, discover the fascinating story of dyeing and textile printing, and experience colour illusions. The exhibits are lots of fun with interactive opportunities at every turn.
Our workshops programme offers a wide selection of practical and educational options, several of which are designed around gallery exhibits, while others offer a hands-on classroom experience. Why not spend a morning or afternoon at the Colour Experience with your class or colleagues learning about colour and its uses throughout history?
