SDC Technical
Vision:
To provide excellence in all aspects of colour fastness testing, colour measurement and
industry related activities relevant to the Society.
The technical activities of the Society are many and varied. These range from responsibilities on new secretariats and involvement in the development of international standards. The department also aims to answer technical enquiries, the majority of which are related to colour fastness and dye matters. Training is also an important part of the technical work of the Society, with various courses available; see the education section of this site for further details.
In 2006 we introduced a colour accreditation scheme: an innovative option for all in the textile supply chain enabling more efficient measurement and communication of colour.
