The SDC Rules cover Membership Subscriptions and Fees in Rules 23 onwards.

Rule 27 specifically states “Members who have had forty years continuous membership of the Society are eligible to a reduction of 50% of their subscription“.  There are therefore monthly, annual and 3 year options for 40 Year Member Subscriptions as follows:

Please select the relevant 40 year membership product in order to renew your membership.  If you are unsure of how many years you have been a SDC member then in the email reminder that your membership had expired the Membership Join date should have been displayed.  If you do not have such an email then please contact Members@sdc.org.uk and we can check your details, including if you have passed the 40 years of membership mark and not had your 50% reduction.  In such instances we will add on additional membership duration, rather than supply a financial refund, due to transaction charges, especially for non-UK Sterling currencies, which may exceed the actual refund.
