A Review of Chromatic Adaptation Transforms

Chromic adaptation transforms (CAT) are used to measure the colour consistency or inconsistency i.e. the change in colour appearance with change in illuminant for a single object. This review article covers the study of CATs using psychophysical experiments for accumulating visual data, derivation of transforms based on colour vision theory, and testing the performance of various CATs using different experimental data sets.
