Dyeing as a New Environmental Challenge
The impact of textiles on both the environment and the consumers’ health and sense of well being is important. The public and the authorities pay increasing attention to this fact and additional regulations and new labels are developed accordingly. Gerhard Horstmann of Ciba-Geigy, Switzerland, suggests that optimisation is no longer sufficient to meet these requirements. We need new products, new procedures and new techniques.
