Dyeing Behaviour of Viscose and Modal Fibres Compared With That of Cotton

Paper discusses a procedure of obtaining an optimum combination of dyes in the most favourable dyeing conditions with respect to tone-intone results of mixed fibres. The sorption behaviour of the individual dyes on homogeneous substrates, characteristic constants can be derived which allow computation of the sorption behaviour of combinations of these dyes on mixed substrates. The ideas on which these calculations are based are discussed and their practical application demonstrated with examples
