Dyeing Properties of Reactive Azo Disperse Dyes and Reactive Azo Cationic Dyes derived from N-Ethyl-N-beta-vinylsulphonylethylaniline as the Coupling Component and 3- and 4-Aminopyridine as the Diazo Components

A description is given of the preparation of monoazo reactive disperse dyes and cationic dyes containing the vinylsulphonyl group. The dyeing properties of these dyes on polyester-cotton, polyester-wool and acrylic-cotton blends have been evaluated and the suitability of the dyes for heat-transfer printing assessed using a vacuum heat-transfer printing machine
