Colorimetric procedures are described which enable the user to identify the dyeing variables which require critical control to quantify the magnitude and direction of their effect, to estimate the combined effects of the many variables operating simultaneously in a dyeing process, and to estimate savings in dyes and chemicals made possible by choice of optimum processing conditions
