Misc photo seeking info on who, when & where?

After obtaining a phD from London University (1952) he was employed for a time with the Ministry of Supply but has worked in ICI Organics Division in Manchester since 1954, being engaged in technical service to the textile industry throughout. He has been involved in the cellulostic and wool dyeing fields, as well as textile printing, but for the last 10 years has been specifically concerned with the carpet industry.
