General Secretary, National Union of Dyers, Bleachers & Textile Workers, Bradford

Full time Union career started in 1953; was elected General Secretary of NUDBTW IN 1973. He is a corporate member of the Institute of Work Study Practitioners, being a founder and first President of the Huddersfield Section, and serves on many committees, including the TUC General Council and the British Textile Confederation (currently as vice president).
