Graduated from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology as Doctor of Science (1949); research chemist at ICI Billingham Division (1949-51); research chemist at Viscosuise S.A, Emmenbrucke (1952-55); head of R&D laboratories, Heberlein AG, Wattwil (1956-59); Managing Director of Triatex International AG, Zurich (1959-68); joined Geigy AG, Basle (1969); held various leading positions in marketing and application groups of Dyestuffs and Chemicals Division, CGY (1969 to date).
