Recent Developments in Wool Printing
This paper discusses the processing steps involved in the printing of wool, i.e. preparation, printing, steaming, washing-off and aftertreatment, and comments on the pitfalls to be encountered at each stage. Recent developments in the preparation for printing (the most likely source of problems) are reviewed. The special styles of discharge and resist are discussed, and newly developed resist printing processes are described. The printing of blends, print-batch (cold), and the numerous attempts to apply transfer printing to wool are also reviewed
