Studies of the Glass Transition Temperature of Polyester Fibre by a Dyeing Method

The effect that the dye has on the determination of the glass transition temperature by a dyeing method is investigated. It is seen that the glass transition temperature is influenced by the structure of the dye, i.e. its size, shape and its interaction with the substrate. From the studies carried out on various systems, a correlation between glass transition temperature and dyeing transition temperature has been postulated
