Becky Knott, a BA Hons Textile Design undergraduate of Falmouth University was awarded first place at the West of England and South Wales regional heat of the International Design Competition on Friday 24th March. Fashion and textile undergraduates from across the west of England and South Wales came together at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College who generously hosted the heat in the modern, state of the art Stroud campus building set in beautiful countryside. Entrants presented their their colourful designs themed ‘Design for a Circular Economy’ to the expert judging panel :

In a keenly fought battle Becky took first place for her Agender childrens wear design, ‘Playful Horizons’. Worthy runners up were Zoe Wenban also from Falmouth University and Zoe Woodford from Plymouth College of Art. The judges also highly commended entries from Heidi Wyett and Sarah Court also from Plymouth College of Art.
