Hong Kong

A BA (Hons) Fashion Design student from the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong took the top prize at the recent Hong Kong Final of the International Design Competition.  Entrants from the top four fashion and textile institutions in Hong Kong battled it out for the prestigious prize of representing Hong Kong at the grand final of the competition to be held in November.

Fat Yung (Freya) Lam won over the judges with her stunning design ‘Lost Horizon’ to stake her place at the Grand Final.

Freya comments: “Winning the Hong Kong heat is a valuable experience for me as a designer and artist. This is my first time to join a competition about colour, I think it is a great platform to show my talent.”

Many thanks to expert judges from the fashion and textile industry including Dr. Ka-wai Lo, all participants, SDC Hong Kong Region and particularly Dr Chi Wai Kan, SDC competition co-ordinator, Hong Kong.
