We are delighted to announce that Laura Ensinger, a Textiles with Surface Design graduate from the University of Hudderfield is the global winner of the 2016 International Design Competition. Laura swept to victory at the prestigious Grand Final held at the Shanghai University of Engineering Science, Shanghai earlier today, taking home a cash prize of £1,000.00 and the coveted Veronica Bell Trophy after beating off tough competition from talented fashion and textile design finalists from around the world with her stunning, colourful design ‘Personal Expression’.
Finalists Sataphon Jamsri from Srinakarinwirot University, Thailand and Kei-fung Kelvin Yiu from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong were awarded well deserved runners-up from the judging panel of distinguished professionals:
- Professor Xiong zhaofei, Department Head, College of Fashion, Wuhan Textile University
- Professor Li jun, Department Head, College of Fashion，Donghua University
- Brian Hinnigan, Sales Director, Apparel Cloth, Johnstons of Elgin
