Brand and social enterprise partnering — the Mud to Marle project
In collaboration with Australia’s first fashion industry climate fund, SDC member Full Circle Fibres was spotlighted in one of our most recent webinars whereby its founder Meriel Chamberlin discussed the Mud to Marle project and its ambitions to turn lower value wool fibres into a high value premium product.
If you missed the live session, you can watch the recording — free to SDC members and £20 for non-members. The webinar is just 40 minutes long and covers Full Fibres’ inaugural mud to marle project with The Country Road Climate Fund.
Meriel Chamberlin is passionate about fairness in the supply chain, for people and the planet. The philosophy of her business, Full Circle Fibres, is to bring entire knowledge, transparency and integrity to a supply chain for fabrics and yarns, from their inception to a safe pathway for reuse or end of life nutrient recapture for our earth.
The project will pilot and test proof of concept end-to-end on-shore manufacturing, including spinning, knitting, weaving and dyeing in Australia.
