There’s nothing small about embroidery SDC-W21
Entitled ‘There’s nothing small about embroidery’ — featuring Dr Susan Kay-Williams, fellow of the SDC and chief executive of the Royal School of Needlework, which celebrates its 150th anniversary this year.
This talk will take you into the unexpected world of embroidery from the Oscars to the church, royal occasions to the FIFA World Cup, and the hit TV series Game of Thrones.
Susan will also discuss her work into the history of colour, as well as her 15 years of work with the RSN so far. This will be particularly interesting to creatives or those wanting to find out more about the RSN.
