As an educational charity, SDC are committed to supporting people in their journey of colour education. Occasionally students may need a helping hand financially in this journey and we have some funding available to offer a limited number of bursaries each year to students wishing to develop their knowledge through either academic or professional study.

The submission dates for bursary applications are:

31st December and 30th June.

Submitted bursary application forms will be considered by the Society’s Education, Qualification and Accreditation Board (EQAB) at their meetings.   These meetings take place after the end of each of the above submission dates.

The two funding streams are:

  • A. Main Bursary (Up to £500)
For undergraduate and postgraduate students on a relevant course (e.g. Colour Chemistry, Fashion & Design, Textiles)
  • B. ASDC Bursary (Up to £250)
For students registered for the ASDC examinations. Find out more about our qualifications including ASDC.

Applicants can only submit one funding application in any 12 month period.

Please read the funding criteria in the documents list carefully before submitting your SDC Bursary funding application.
