Yorkshire Archaeological Society

As part of their 150th anniversary celebrations, the Yorkshire Archaeological Society (YAS) has organised a joint event with the National Coal Mining (NCM) Museum. The theme is ‘Coal and Its By Products: 150+ years of history and development’ and it will take place on Saturday 21st September at the NCM Museum. Richard Ashworth is one of the guest speakers and will be delivering a special talk entitled ‘The Colours of Coal’.  The event is open to non-members of YAS.  The cost for the day is £18.00 including refreshments and lunch.  Please contact Janet Senior (YAS) for booking details.
