The College of Home Science, Nirmala Niketan, (Affiliated to the University of Mumbai NAAC accredited ‘A’ Grade) and The Society of Dyers and Colorists is renowned for being responsible for enrichment of knowledge in the field of chemicals and coloration technology and their application has organised a 1 Day National Seminar, REACHING THE UNREACHED. New Perspectives in Multidisciplinary Research, Extension and Consumerism on Friday 31st August, 2018 at the College of Home Science, Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai
Different textile products with special properties and features are required for supporting and enhancing human life especially in the early years of age. Textile Products need to be technically enhanced for performance and aesthetically designed with colour. This can be essentially done with the help of suitable eco-friendly colorants and high performance finishes. The textile industry hugely contributes to pollution of the environment due to the negative impact of chemicals and colorants. Today with the conscientious consumers, industries are adopting eco-friendly processes, manufacturing and waste management systems.
