SDC International Design Competition 2015: Grand Final

The grand final of SDC’s International Design Competition 2015 takes place this year in London.
We look forward to welcoming our finalists from around the world to a three-day itinerary culminating in the grand final event at the Fashion and Textile Museum on Monday 23rd November. The museum will be hosting a Liberty in Fashion exhibition at the time of our visit.
The day includes:
Morning – competition judging, plus exhibition tour and fashion illustration workshop for the finalists. Our judging panel includes Duncan Neil, Laduma Ngxokolo and Dame Zandra Rhodes.
Afternoon – seminar open to invited guests followed by the announcement of the winner of competition

15.00 Seminar starts – chaired by Celia Joicey, Head of the Fashion and Textile Museum
15.15 Dr Helen McCormick (University of Manchester) – Fashion retailing and Technology Innovation – How can technology inform us to buy better?
15.45 Laduma Ngxokolo (MaXhosa by Laduma) – leading knitwear designer and previous winner of the SDC International Design Competition
16.15 Richard Ashworth (SDC Colour Experience Manager)
Followed by the announcement of the winner of the SDC International Design Competition 2015 and a drinks reception

The competition is open to undergraduate fashion and textile design students in Australia, Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Pakistan, Portugal, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand and the United Kingdom. Please see the competitions section of the website for further details.
