SDC North of England Region ‘Mike Crabtree Memorial Lecture’

The first event of the 2019/2020 SDC North of England Region programme, The Mike Crabtree Memorial Lecture will be held on Wednesday 25th September at SDC headquarters in Perkin House, Bradford.

Mike Crabtree was a dedicated member of the North of England Region and this annual lecture is held in his memory.

SDC Hon Member, John Wyles will give a presentation about William Morris, the artist, philosopher and iconic designer best known for his sumptuous textile and wallpaper designs.

Entitled, “William Morris: A man of many talents”, the talk will look at the very full and varied life of William Morris and will include references not only to his well known designs for textiles but also his involvement in the development of their methods of production.

The lecture starts at 7.15pm and a hot buffet will be served from 6.30pm.
