Last Call for Entries to the SDC Global Colourist Award

Did you know that we have extended the deadline to Friday 30 June 2023 for the SDC Global Colourist Award? If you’re thinking of applying, there’s still time to get your nominations in!

The award is open to colourists across all industries — including textiles, pigments and food to name a few — with a requirement of the individual being within the first 10 years of their career as a colourist.

Sponsored by Advanced Colours and Chemicals Ltd., applicants must be able to demonstrate qualities such as enthusiasm, performance and a general knowledge of the colouration industry, along with commitment and competence.

The winner will be invited to attend the SDC’s Day of Celebration and Awards Ceremony in York on Friday 17 November 2023,  all expenses paid. They will be presented with both a certificate, prize money of £1,000, as well as be featured in the SDC’s quarterly members magazine, The Colourist, alongside their employer.

For runners up and nominees that were highly commended, they will receive vouchers for SDC books.

Interviews will continue to take place in early September, with the winner being notified in the middle of the month.
