Here is an updated document, from the 2016 figures provided in the Transcript, showing approximate data (averaged from various online AI search platforms) for  global textile fibre production to accompany this lesson. Accurate and consistent data is difficult to come by regarding global production of fibres for textiles. There are many sources online that show quite a spread of numbers. The important thing to look at is any trend that the data is showing. With this in mind, the presented figures should not be taken as absolute values. Better to consider and compare in terms of relative values.
