SDC Midlands Region Annual General Meeting and Presentation Evening

The SDC Midlands Region are holding their AGM on Wednesday 6th March 2024 at Nottingham Trent University from 6pm in the Newton Building, LT5 Lecture Theatre.

A buffet will be available. Please register your attendance by adding the event to your basket. Once you have registered to attend, you will receive an email with links to download the documents for the AGM,

The Midlands Heat of the SDC International Design Competition will be held from 1:30pm and presentations will be made after the AGM to the winner and runners up.

Theodora Prassa, print designer and artist will give a talk ‘The Journey of Pattern and Printing with Natural Dyes’.
Theodora Prassa is a print designer and artist and will share with the audience her recent art practice, her experience using different surface designs and how she has incorporated this into curriculum design. The talk will include her recent research into turning natural dyes into pastes and her experience developing teaching materials for students at Nottingham Trent University. She will also talk about material awareness and sustainability. She works as Print Technical Specialist and tutor at NTU and  has participated in various exhibitions and festivals nationally and internationally. Her work has been awarded, published, commissioned and funded by Arts Council England, Goethe Institut, S.H.E.D and Artcore.
