The seventy-seventh year of the Society has progressed under the leadership of the President, Mr F Malcolm Stevenson.
The Society of Dyers & Colourists is a charity registered in England & Wales, plus a Royal Chartered body. This History section of the new website is a large work in progress as we scan documents and upload them, plus gather information that is not always directly evident from just a photograph for example. On the recommendation of the Society’s Medals Committee, Council awarded the Perkin Medal posthumously to Cecil John Turner Cronshaw and John Thompson Marsh.
Citations were published in the January 1960 Journal.
The Annual Dinner, held in Leeds on 29 April 1960, was the event where the Medals would have been presented.
