Adam started his career in dyeing and coloration aged 20, after a brief stint working abroad in schools.

He started at DP Dyers in February 2011 and has worked his way through every department of the business to be the Dyeing Manager. In his role, he works alongside some of the world’s leading textile manufacturers, processing an array of fabrics, from the worlds finest apparels, to contract fabrics found in offices, theatres and schools across the globe.

He has completed various training programmes, most notably a diploma in textile and garment manufacture, and the SDC’s Textile Coloration Certificate. Adam and his peers from this course were part of the first cohort of learners to take and pass this course.

Adam previously held the role of Hon Sec for the Northern Region, but has since stepped down, he is still on the committee. As a region they have seen great success with the many events they have organised and been part of.

Adam served as a Trustee on the Society’s Board for one term that concluded in May 2022 and after a year, successfully stood again and was re-appointed as a Trustee at the 2023 SDC AGM for a 3 year term of office. He has also previously held the post of Trustee Director for the SDCE.
