Dr Ela Manoj Dedhia joined the SDC in 2008 and is based in Mumbai, India. Ela is an Associate Professor at Nirmala Niketan Home Science Department of Textiles & Fashion Technology. She has worked extensively on Natural Dyes and Traditional Block Printing including the publishing of a book, several chapters and papers.  Ela has been involved locally with the SDC having been both Secretary and Chairperson of SDC Educational Charity in India. In 2023 Ela was made a Fellow of the Society.
