How QuantumCOLOUR’s five-step process requires 50% less energy reduction to produce high-quality yarns
An innovative process from COLOURizd, that facilitates up to a 98% reduction in water usage, 50% less energy consumption, and an exceptional 73% cut in carbon emissions was discussed during our latest webinar — with many SDC members and non-members from around the globe in attendance.

During the session, co-founder and CEO of the responsible textile manufacturer, Jennifer Thompson dialled in from North Carolina in the USA to offer a detailed exploration into the factory’s yarn coloration technology.
She explained: “The industry to date has very much focused on fibre production, whether that’s a recycled fibre, an organic fibre or a regenerative fibre. However, this only covers 12% of the life cycle assessment for a garment. Here at COLOURizd we believe that supply chain collaboration is of the utmost importance, that way we can consider how we work with fibres and how we can colour and finish them in a way that is sustainable and fit for the future.”
COLOURizd’s innovative dye process aims to revolutionise the coloration industry to allow for a dry factory. Despite deviating away from traditional dyeing and finishing practices, the manufacturer’s vision is to maintain product quality while offering a radically sustainable and cost-effective solution.
