40 year Member Chartered Colourist Membership (Monthly)

Chartered Colourist is the highest status of our membership and the SDC is the only organisation in the world able to offer the status of Chartered Colourist.  This arose due to the SDC possessing a Royal Charter awarded in 1963.  Chartered Colourists need to be a member of the SDC and non-retired Chartered Colourists need to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to keep themselves updated.  This CPD can be in a number of forms and our CPD system is open to all SDC Members to use – after all we hope all our members aspire to CCol status and as many as possible achieve it, so our CPD system access helps them develop in that direction and make a seamless transition when they achieve Chartered Colourist status.

In accordance with SDC Rule 27: “Members who have had forty years continuous membership of the Society are eligible to a reduction of 50% of their subscription.”

This 40 year membership subscription is for Chartered Colourists.

Hence, these subscriptions if taken out are checked and may be rescinded if the applicant does not have a record of 40 years continuous membership of the Society.

For clarification, this is not a membership for applicants aged over 40 years old!
