Post-show updates from ITMA 2023

Reflecting on the world’s largest textile innovation exhibition in June this year, ITMA 2023 proved to be a huge success with visitorship reaching record numbers compared with the last time it was held in 2019.

Our CEO, Graham Clayton, technical director, Andrew Filarowski, and education officer, Antony Morton, were all in attendance.

The ITMA conference always has an excellent showcase of textile machinery, and displays the best of fibre, textile and nonwoven innovations. The event continues to be the place for key decision makers and experts to network on an international scale.

With many SDC members in attendance — including the SDC’s immediate past president, Ullhas Nimkar — our CEO Graham Clayton was pleased to present Jitendra Kumar Srivastava, head of the technical Excellence Centre for fibres at Coraplast Industries, with the prestigious status of Fellow of the Society of Dyers and Colourists.

ITMA continues to be a hub for gathering valuable market insight, as well as acknowledging the innovations and technologies that continue to push the industry forward. This year’s conference placed a predominant focus on advanced materials, pioneering technologies, automation and the principles of sustainability and circularity.

From low carbon materials and eco-friendly processes, to waste reduction and responsible production, ITMA 2023 reaffirmed that sustainability is imperative for a thriving future. To find out more about the conference, you can do so via the links to the following resources:
