Sustainable textile dyeing and finishing with WEKO
For the society’s first webinar of 2024, we caught up with Jayanta Sanyal, head of technical sales at WEKO and RotaSpray.
During the session, Jayanta provided insight into WEKO’s development and implementation of new sustainable processes using minimal rotor spray application systems in dyeing, finishing, and coating.
If you missed the live session, you can watch the recording here — free to SDC members and £20 for non-members. The webinar is just over one hour long and covers the sustainability aspects of spray dyeing and finishing over conventional processes — including a deeper look into rotary atomizers and how they work.
Commenting on the session, Jayanta said: “The global textile industry is one of the longest and most complicated industrial chains in the manufacturing sector. We must rethink the production steps to create smarter processes and products.
“The responsibility to create a greener textile industry is ours, and we must work together to provide the next generation with more sustainable processes.”
