Dr Vien Cheung is an Associate Professor of Colour and Philosophical Studies at the University of Leeds, having started her studies in Textile Chemistry at Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Vien is the Immediate Past President of the International Colour Association (AIC) which has a global membership of 30 colour associations over five continents. She is active in charitable and educational organisations including the Colour Group (Great Britain) in which she is the Vice Chairman and the Society of Dyers and Colourists where she served on its Audit, Medals and Publication committees. She is also a Panelist for the Advance HE’s Race Equality Charter and a Reviewer for the White Rose College of the Arts & Humanities (WRoCAH) Creative Arts and Media Cluster
